the legend is real
What “legend”? you ask. I cannot tell you, but apparently it is real. This is a pen & ink drawing and acrylic wash painting.
crawdad
Known as a crayfish by some. I painted this while looking at one I had mounted inside an old cigar box.
chasm trail (a momentary dream)
From a vivid, momentary image I saw in my mind as I was drifting asleep. Strange, yes... but I wanted to paint it, so here it is. Original is acrylic on canvas.
Celestial Glory
Inspired by the vastness and the majesty of the amazing things that are out there in the depths of space. Countless suns and worlds, stones and dust, light and color, beauty and darkness. Glorious creation! This painting can be displayed in any orientation; doesn't have to be vertical as shown.
sunset barn & windmill (diptych 1)
A bit of minimalism. I like the deep reds and the stark blacks illustrating a stylized silhouette of a derelict barn & windmill. This is part of a two-painting set for display side-by-side.
sunset trees (diptych 2)
A bit of minimalism. I like the deep reds and the stark blacks illustrating a stylized sunset scene of silhouetted trees. This is part of a two-painting set for display side-by-side.
Zebra Swallowtail
Just a simple drawing & coloring from a photograph of a butterfly.
The girl stands at the end of the pier, looking off into the distance as if she is waiting for someone. You may notice some common elements between this painting and a couple of my other works.
